Both internal and external PDFs may have links that take a student to a specific page within the PDF document by simply adding #page=pagenumber to end of the link (URL) to the document.
For both internal and external links, use the link menu item in the text edit box on a unit page.
For external links the process is straightforward.
The original link to the PDF.
https://www.cs.toronto.edu/~hinton/absps/NatureDeepReview.pdf
A link to a specific page; here it is page 3 of the document
https://www.cs.toronto.edu/~hinton/absps/NatureDeepReview.pdf#page=3
Internal PDFs are those that have been uploaded into the Other files resources area in iQualify.
To link to an internal PDF we must first get the link from the Other files resources area. To get the link select the Copy link for the pdf, this will copy the link to the clipboard.
The Copy link text.
Then go to the unit/page you want to add the link and add the link using the standard link option.
Paste the copied link into the URL field and add #page=pagenumber (the page number you want to go to in the PDF). An example is highlighted below.
Note the link will not start with https://, this is correct.
Select Insert and your link to a page in the PDF will be created.
