Do you have any activities to do for Spring Break with the Pandemic still around? No? Well, I have some ideas for you! You can do so many things to do in Colorado Springs with family and friends!
Cheyenne Mountain Zoo
The Cheyenne Mountain Zoo is located at 4250 Cheyenne Mountain Zoo Road, Colorado Springs, CO 80906. At the zoo, you can see many animals like giraffes, gorillas, leopards, lions, and so many others. You can also spend lots of time with family and friends, and have lots of fun.
Restaurants
There are now some restaurants that are open and allow you to dine in, like The All You Can Eat Chinese Buffet, The Ultimate Buffet, Black Bear Diner, Golden Corral, Texas RoadHouse, Rasta Pasta, and more. You will have to call and make a reservation for some restaurants. For others, you can also just go and wait for a table, but you will have to wait since they are socially distancing people and families.
Garden Of The Gods
Garden Of The Gods is located at 1805 N 30th St, Colorado Springs, CO 80904. It is free but you are required to wear a face mask at all times for eleven years and older. Younger ages are not required to wear masks, but if you are not medically well you are required to wear a face shield. You can look at all the rocks and learn about the history since there are a lot of historical events that have happened. You can also hike and walk around the park and just look around.
Memorial Park and Other Local Parks
Memorial park is located at 1605 E Pikes Peak Ave, at Memorial Park you can play on the playground. You can also go to the basketball court and play with friends or alone. You can also workout and run around the parks, or you can go to the volleyball court and play with family and friends. You can always just spend time there and have a little picnic with friends or family. You can also play at the park and fly kites for fun!
Another recommendation is Monument Valley Park. Monument Valley Park is near downtown. They have great walking trails, open fields, a playground, different game courts, and places to let the dogs run.
Colorado Springs has over 100 community parks, so there are a lot of places to check out.
Malls
There are two malls in Colorado Springs. Citadel Mall is located at 750 Citadel Dr E, Colorado Springs, CO 80909. Chapel Hills Mall is located at 1710 Briargate Blvd, Colorado Springs, CO 80920. At the malls, you can hang out with friends and buy items. You can also buy food but you have to take it to go. If you buy a drink at the mall, you have to walk around and drink it. At Briargate, there is also a glow in the dark mini golf. It does require masks but is super fun! To go into either mall, you are required to wear masks for the safety of everyone.
How to stay safe during the pandemic
If you want to stay safe during the pandemic that is still going around, you can wear a mask whenever you go to public places. You can also social distance and stay six feet apart if you hang out with friends. If you go with friends, make sure you will hang out with less than ten people if they are not family that you live with.
