Hermit crabs can live in the kelp forest, open ocean, reef, estuary, and deeeep, and estuary.
Abilities:
Boosting will make the hermit crab lunge forward, dealing 62 damage and using a boost bar. However, the lunge distance is much shorter than other animals.
Hermit crabs can climb trees and columns.
Using a charged boost at a shell will make the hermit crab put on the shell.
When wearing a shell, the hermit crab will only have 50 speed and it will sink in water, but it will have 50-70% armor.
When wearing a shell, using a fully charged boost while walking will make the hermit crab go into its shell, making it invincible. However, the shell will wear down over time.
When wearing a shell, using a fully charged boost while swimming will make the hermit crab take off its shell.
Hermit crabs cannot damage or be damaged by hermit crabs, oarfish, and coconut crabs.
Strategies: Don't put on a shell unless you are in danger, as the shell makes you sink and limits your movement. Eat plankton and algae to level up. Don't try to hunt lower tiers as they are faster than you. You can also climb onto islands and eat berries and apples.
