Alligator gars can live in the estuary, swamp, and deeeep swamp, but they can survive a long time in the kelp forest, open ocean, and reef!
Abilities:
Boosting will make the alligator gar lunge forward and deal 175 damage, using a boost bar.
Charging a boost will make the gar slower by 30.
Using a fully charged boost will make the gar lunge forward three times.
If the gar hits an animal on its first or second lunge, it will not lunge again until another charged boost is used.
Boosting during one of the lunges will make the gar launch itself forward a great distance.
If the gar does not hit an animal, it will be slowed by 30 for 4 seconds.
Alligator gars cannot damage or be damaged by animals on tier 1 (except for worm and piranha).
Strategies: Swim near the surface when chasing animals to go faster. Don't hold your charged boost for too long as it can hinder your movement. Use your charged boost only to finish off prey or to fight tanky animals. Boost while you're lunging to make a fast getaway or to finish off fleeing animals.
