Marlins can live in the kelp forest, open ocean, reef, and estuary!
Abilities:
Boosting will make the marlin lunge forward and deal 150 damage and cause bleeding, using a boost bar.
Jumping out of the water and diving back in again will give the marlin a +33 speed increase, which is stackable up to a +99 speed increase.
Hitting an animal when the marlin has a speed increase will inflict bleed to the target and reduce the marlin's speed boost by 33).
The speed increase will last for about 5 seconds. Jumping and diving again will renew the speed increase.
Marlins cannot damage or be damaged by animals on tier 1 (except for worm and piranha).
Strategies: Marlins have below-average HP and attack power, but their speed makes up for it. You work very well against large tanky animals, such as whales and basking sharks. Jump out of the water to increase your speed. While the speed increase is active, hit the animal to cause bleeding, then swim away and repeat. This should eventually wear down the animal. And, because you are the fastest animal in the game with speed boosts, you can easily catch up to escaping animals and finish them off.
