Attention: If anyone knows advanced strategies for specific tier 10s, please let me know! I am making a separate guide for more advanced players! :D
"You can grab seagulls and above! Your grab speed is higher the less pressure you have left."
Default speed: 100
HP: 800
Damage: 160
Armor penetration: 50%
Boosts: 3
Evolves from: Humboldt Squid
Oxygen time: 60 seconds (Out of water)
Temperature time: N/A
Pressure time: 15 seconds (Out of deeeep and deeeep swamp)
Salinity time: 20 seconds (In swamp and deeeep swamp)
Giant squids can live in the deeeep!
Abilities:
Boosting will make the giant squid lunge forward and deal 200 damage, using a boost bar.
Hitting a grabbable animal above tier 5 with a charged boost will make the giant squid grab the animal and drag it for 5 seconds, using a boost bar.
When dragging an animal, the giant squid cannot damage animals, but it can be damaged.
When dragging an animal, the giant squid will move much faster.
The lower the giant squid's pressure bar, the faster it moves while dragging, starting with +75 speed with a full pressure bar, up to +125 speed with an empty pressure bar.
After dragging an animal for 5 seconds, the giant squid will release the animal and boost forward a short distance. This includes airboosting.
Boosting while dragging will end the drag early and boost the giant squid forward a small distance.
Giant squids cannot damage or be damaged by animals on tier 1 (except for worm and piranha).
Strategies: Giant squid was designed to hunt animals that didn't live in the deeeep. Go out of the deeeep, but stay close to the entrance to the deeeep, and wait for an animal to grab. If you run low on pressure, go back to the deeeep, refill your pressure, then come back up. When you grab an animal, make your way back to the deeeep. Before releasing them, turn around so that you are between them and the exit. If they try to escape through a different exit, grab them again. They should eventually die from pressure damage.
