Thresher sharks can live in the kelp forest, open ocean, reef, and estuary!
Abilities:
Boosting will make the thresher shark lunge forward and deal 175 damage, using a boost bar.
Using a charged boost will make the thresher shark lock its direction and shoot 5 whirls from its tail.
When the thresher shark locks its direction, it will continue moving in that direction even if the shark turns. This will last until the ability ends.
The whirls slow animals down by 15 and deal damage. The farther a whirl travels until it hits its target, the more damage, from 70 to 120.
Thresher sharks cannot damage or be damaged by animals on tier 1 (except for worm piranha), but can still shoot them.
Strategies: When chasing a target, charge your boost, then release it and turn around quickly. This will make you swim in the direction of the target but shoot that direction too. This will deal damage and slow down the target so it's easier to get them. Turn around after 1 second to continue swimming int he same direction. When being chased, time your charged boost so that you shoot while they damage you. This will launch you forward very quickly for a fast getaway.
