The thing I focused on the most during this project was making sure I had a good ratio between black and white. I had a hard time deciding what was going to be white and what was going to be black.

My clay was still soft when I started scratching away the black, so when I started I used the tool that had the very small balls at the ends. That made it east to get the little lines done and made it easy to do outlines of bigger shapes. After the clay had fully hardened I used the tools that were rectangle and rounded at the tips, so that I was able to scrape off more of the black at a time.

I feel like this design wasn't done to the fullest of my abilities. When I rolled out my clay, I didn't really have an idea as to what I was going to make this project be, so I just rolled it into a random shape and had to work with it. I feel like the end result wasn't as clear as I wanted it to be and I think I could've made it look neater and more nice. I also didn't know how I was going to make it 50/50 white to black ratio, so I ended up just having the entire background be white, which I don't love. I think if I could redo it I would've had hair coming off the head off the top and colored that part of it white.
