For this piece, I wanted to portray the difference between the dinosaur head and the pig body. And the way that I did that was through the colors, I used blue and green to contrast with the pink. Also, with the ice cream cone legs I wanted to make sure that you could differentiate the cones from the pig body, so I made the ice cream green. 

I mainly used markers because I felt they had the most color pigment, and they took me less time to fill in the big spaces. I used colored pencils for the lighter colors of the piece. I wanted 

When I picked this prompt I knew that I wanted to make it cartoony, so I wanted to make the lines smooth and clear and the colors definitely needed to pop. I started with colored pencils which didn't give me the color pigment that I wanted and I knew it was going to take me longer than if I were to use markers. I didn't have any references and it took me awhile to figure out how I wanted the dinosaur head to look
