All the prints

The main idea for this project was to get the lines to be as dark as I could get them. I struggled to get the black to look clean and crisp, and I also kept having lines transfer onto the paper that I didn't want.  I also wanted to focus on centering the print on the center of the paper and having no smudges which was hard to do every single time. I noticed that when I was transferring the ink onto the paper the block would move around a bit which caused the ink the smear around the page.

I used black, purple, green, red, and blue ink to create my prints. Using the linoleum blocks and small cut pieces of white paper, as well as the tools provided for me for this project I was able to create a total of around 27-28 prints.

I like the way my project turned out, at the end of making the prints I was kind of bored looking at the same design every time, but looking back at it now I really like the way it looks. It didn't click in my mind that what I carved on the block was going to be reversed, so I feel like the prints do look a little funky. I think if I did another print or re-did this one I would spend a little more time carving the block out, I didn't spend enough time carving which made the block look a little messy.
