Mapping Design 

For this project, I wanted to show a clear path of one of my days for school. Since it's a path I take every other day I wanted to be sure that it was clear what my intentions were for the movement of the piece. The whole idea of this project for me was to represent my life and my path in and out of school. 

I used acrylic paint and Sharpies to create this piece, and I think the end result looks super neat and clean. I wanted to use paint because I knew that the result would come out looking very sharp and the colors would be flat and even. I used masking tape to make sure the lines came out sharp. 

I wanted to make this project look very neat and organized because that represents how my school days usually go. For each colored line, that represents one of my classes that day. I sketching portion took me a very long time, I decided to measure out each line and make sure that they were all even and matched when I switched from class to class. I wanted this to look appealing so I chose the colors to descend in a rainbow-like order. For the background I represented my life outside of school with the squiggles, showing that my path is not pre-determined as it is during school.
