I feel like my experience in photography 1 was successful. I think I learned a lot of techniques and rules and overall just things to make my photos better. I think that my photos came out good and most were of subjects or things that made the photo cool or brought it to life. I liked the darkroom and being able to experiment with different light settings and filters. I liked photoshop and being able to explore and change my images. I think I did really well with photography as well. I don't think I had any late work or missing assignments. I completed my portfolio, although for a while I forgot about it. Something I wish I had done differently was being able to go out further than my front yard or school parking lot. I think it was successful for a freshman photography semester with little to no experience.

I faced a lot of different challenges throughout this class. The challenges could range from having difficulty finding something on photoshop to having trouble developing images, or just not having inspiration or liking any of the photos I could have taken. One of the biggest challenges for me was rolling and developing film. This may sound pretty easy but it is in fact not. I think what made it so hard is that I couldn't see what I was doing. It had to be done in a bag where no light could get through. Everytime I developed my film it came out where parts had been touching and couldn't develop correctly. In the end, though, it was fine because I had plenty of images that worked.

I think my favorite project this year was the multiple exposeur project. This was done in photoshop, and even though I didn't, and still don't, like photoshop it is still proably one of my favorite projects I've done. I liked the final product that came out of the photos. I think I like it because instead of the subject having a silhouette with the image surrounding it, the image is inside the subject. I liked that it came out as an image of a landscape inside the cutout of a person. However, my least favorite project in this class was probably the first shadow and reflection we did. I think I didn't like this one because it was hard for me to find shadows and reflections to take pictures of and I feel like it was a lot to find because we had to have many different images.

I understand and know a lot more about photography and techniques to use in photos now then I did before. I think it's really important to know that because I want to photograph sports and concerts as my future career. I think this will help to become better and have more interesting, not boring normal, photos. I think I will use things like leading lines and camera angles a lot more now becasue I understand how they can influence and change a photo.
