This was the first project of the class. I have done this type of project before in foundations. In foundations, it was done a little differently. We used different tools and we weren't able to use different colored glaze. I did forget to take about 2 process pictures in the beginning.
Originally I had chosen an orange-red color. I didn't like that color for my design so I switched to just black. Originally I also wanted my tile to look like two silhouettes of sharks swimming but it wasn't exactly 50/50. To fix this problem Mr.A gave the idea of adding fish. I added two schools of fish on two corners and water ripples around the sharks. I like how my final project turned out and I think it looks even better fired.
When I got it back fired it was super shiny and I saw my favorite detail. When I looked at the sharks I noticed that there looked like there were cracks in them. The glaze had given it a sort of cracked glass effect which I really liked because it could almost look like the designs on the water shining off the shark's backs.
