This was a small project. I owned a pair of sweatpants that I didn't like because of how saggy the back was. I thrifted these pants, so I decided that I would just fix them myself instead of them going back to the thrift store. My first step was to try them on and decide how and where I needed to fix them. Once I decided where I wanted them to be fixed, I flipped them inside out and put them back on to make sure that I liked how it would turn out. Then I pinned them where I wanted them to be sewn to fix the sagginess.
To fix the pants, I had to make a triangle starting from the spot that I pinned and continuing down all the way until it reached the inner parts of the pants' legs on both sides. To do this, I used a ruler because I wanted to make sure they were even. I took a small marker and marked the outline of the area that needed to be sewn. The rest was fairly easy. I took the pants to the sewing machine and sewed along the lines I had drawn. Once that was done, I took the pants off the sewing machine and cut the extra fabric. I then flipped them right side out and tried them on.
Overall, I think they look better than they did. However, I'm still not the biggest fan of these sweatpants. I have never fixed pants like this before, and I'm glad that I know how to do it now. I think it will come in handy at times in the future, and I think it's a good skill to have.
