This project was simple and didn't take much time at all. The first step was drawing a design. I wanted to incorporate mountains and the ocean. We had to make at least 2 squares and 4 designs. I made 2 of the exact same ones. For the first one i did a mountain range and for the second I made a design like a wave one the sand. Then I had to choose colors. For my mountain colors I choose green for the mountains and purple for the sky. For the ocean one I used a blue and white. I used the normal blue for the darkest color and white for the lightest to look like a foamy area on the water. I then mixed the white and blue to make the middle color. I used black to outline all of my drawings to give is a cartoon look. Then we transferred. First you get your slab when it is leather dry, a sponge, a spoon, and slip. You put the slip on the transfer and then lay it on the slab. Then you take the damp sponge and pat the paper until it's almost see through. Then you take a spoon and rub the paper with it to transfer the image onto the slab. Then you put it in the kiln and put on a clear coat and its finished. I think mine turned out ok. I wish I chose different colors and cuter designs but overall it turned out ok.
