Donate Life

This assignment was for a donation poster for organ and tissue donations. The requirements were to make a poster that had a original art work along with an original sentence about donating. This poster also had to include the words 'organ and tissue donation' anywhere on the poster.

For my poster I wanted to include something that I really love. I originally wanted to do something with lacrosse, however I didn't know what I would do for the sentence. I went to the next best thing, music. For this I wanted to something simple. The most simple thing I could think of for. usic are the couple lines and small simple shapes that make up headphones. 

To make this relate to organ and tissue donation I made the headphones cord wrap into a heart near the bottom. The quote was the easiest thing I came up with. I chose this sentence because I was thinking of music beat and a heartbeat. I then made the heart red to make it stand out a little more. I started out by coloring almost the whole paper black with charcoal. I then took a pencil and traced out where the headphones where and went in the blob above with watercolors. At the end of the process I took a white gel pen and colored the headphones and wrote the words.
