Sheep wearing PJs

pencil, markers, colored pencil, drawing paper

9"-12"

For this assignment we were given a prompt from a game. The one I chose was a sheep wearing PJs. I don't really know how I got the idea I did but when I read my prompt I just had a picture in my head. I guess I just wanted to draw my sheep wearing pink PJs. The original idea was to do a full set of PJs, but then I realized that none of the wool would show if I did that, and the sheep would be an awkward shape.

I used colored pencils, pencil, and markers. I used just a regular pencil that was available to me. I also used red, blue, green, yellow, black, and brown colored penciles. I used five different colors of markers, red, yellow, light yellow, pink, and grey.

This drawing started out as a picture in my head. I didn't really have an idea for the background so the first thing I drew was the head of the sheep. I used a pencil to draw the head and body. I then moved on the doing the facial features, the legs, and then the wool. I then drew the pillow and thought bubble. I later moved onto the background. I didn't really have an idea for this so I just thought of one place where sheep are usually found. I used markers to color it first then I colored the grass and sky with colored pencil. When I was done with that I shaded with colored pencils.
