This project was by far my favorite. I liked working with clay a lot. I think this project was also the easiest for me.
We took a chunk of clay and pounded it into a ball. We then rolled it out to be about and inch thick. I cut mine into a circle. We then painted 3 thin coats of black glaze. The we let it dry for a couple of days so we wouldn't take out chunks of clay. I finished mine early so I made 2 more small matching ones.
My idea didn't really come from anything. I just wanted a cool desing that looked cool in black and white. I wanted to do line drawings. I liked the look of the water lily so I did that. I think it looks better on the paper but I'm happy with my results.
