For this project, I just had a pair of shorts that I used to wear all the time. Because I wore them all the time, they ripped a lot and eventually just became unable to wear.
The first thing I did was find a fabric that I wanted to use. I had this white fabric with little blue flowers on it that I got from Walmart a while ago. I only had a little bit left, and I knew I wouldn't use it for anything else, so I thought it would be a good fit. I took my fabric and did a rough sketch of the area that needed to be covered, leaving about an inch of room to be able to sew it on. I then cut those two pieces out, turned my shorts inside out, and began sewing along the sides of the ripped areas. I then trimmed the excess fabric and thread and flipped them right side out to make sure everything looked good.
Overall, I think the end result looks really good. I'm really glad that my shorts are wearable again, and I'm really happy with the fabric I chose. I think it looks really well together, like it was meant to be like that.
