Artist Statement;
The subject of this photo is the branch of a tree in the hallway of the school. In the science wing of the high school there is a row of windows which always provide a large and beautiful amount of light. I decided to take this photo because everyday when I walk past this plant, I always stare at it in awe because of how simple but gorgeous it is. To take this photo, I simply stood in front of it and adjusted the focus and lighting, and snapped the photo. The reason I chose to create this image was because of the fact that I see it everyday and have always wanted to capture an image of it In this photo, there is leading lines, selective focus, and close up. You can see leading lines because of the stem that leads from one side of the image to the other. The selective focus is where the leaves are in focus but the shadow and background is all out of focus. I'm sure that if many people were to look at this image they could think of some way to make it better and prettier but personally, I really like the look of it and how it turned out.Report abuse
