Artist Statement This photo that I took is of a leafy vine that found its way into the crevice between a mossy rock and the ground. To take this photo, I used my phone. I was walking around when I say the vine and decided it might make a good photo so I got down low and took the photo. I chose to take this photo because I thought the way the leaves looked against the white, mossy rock looked very neat and the way the two different greens contrasted gave a nice detail. I did not try to use many composition rules or techniques but some that are still visible are rule of thirds, leading lines, and close up. Originally, the photo was not as focus on the vine and there was much more of the rocks that you could see but when I was editing it, I decided to crop it to focus on the vine more and I changed to color to make it more detailed.
