Jungle Snack This photo is of a miniature giraffe “munching” on a small blade of grass. I saw the small balls of fluff and the grass and decided that if I posed the giraffe as if it was eating the grass it might make a neat photo. Once I posed the giraffe, I got down low and took the photo. When I first posed the giraffe, I thought the photo would look better from a lower angle so I got down low and laid on the ground. Because the subject is so small, I zoomed in and adjusted the focus, making sure the giraffe wasn’t in the very center and then I took the photo. Some of the rules and techniques used in this photo are rule of thirds, selective focus, and lowkey light. You can see rule of thirds because, although the giraffe's mouth is near the center, it is not fully in the center and the rest of the body is to the side. If you look at the upper half of the photo, you can see the background is blurry making its selective focus. Lastly, The colors and tones in this image are not very bright which give it the low key lighting. Originally, this photo was a lot larger and less focused on the specific part of the image where the giraffe is eating the grass. I cropped it down and edited the lightning.
