Candy Still Life

Artist statement;

For this project we took several pieces of candy, glued them onto a piece of paper and then drew them enlarged. Before starting we worked with four different materials, chalk, pastels, colored pencils, and watercolor to determine which materials we wanted to use for this assignment and to experiment as well.

For mine, I chose to use colored pencils and pastels. I started out by sketching all the different candies and then went back in with colored pencils and pastels to add color, detail, and texture.

I think that if I had spent more time on this project it would have turned out better and it would have looked more realistic.
