Shadows and Reflections

For this assignment, we were tasked with using another camera with a roll of film to take photos of shadows and reflections. I chose to take most of my photos around the school as there were some great contrasts of shadows and reflections that I could incorporate into my photography. But it was sometimes quite tricky because of the weather we were having, where it was just rain and no sun to bring out those shadows and reflections.

I first started off with opening and adding a roll of film into the film camera that I was using. Then I walked around and looked for some great areas to take shadows and reflections. After I had 12 shadows and reflections I than had to open the camera up in dark bag and to roll it onto a film roller and put that into a capsul. Once that was done I had to mix some chemicals together to get it processed. Finally I was able to take my film out and wash and dry it so I could enlarge my images. Despite time being a hard part for this assignment in particularly, I am very happy with how my contact sheet and pictures turned out.

One of the things that I could improve with this in the future is making sure that I am not letting my brain wander off too much to get distracted. Though part of the problem was I was dealing with another cold but I could have approached this better. Instead the first time I began to process my reel it was of images I did not take, which ended up costing a reel of film. If I could just get my brain to focus more and to not worry so much about the future, than everything will work itself out in the end.
