Space

The main idea that guided me through this artwork was what colors do all the leaves have. So I found out that the colors of the leaves include Red, Green, yellow and Orange.  For my negative space project I basically had to lay five leaves on a piece of paper then I had to draw the negative space and make sure that the leaves do not touch each other.  We went outside last week to get five leaves.

The artwork included an abundance of materials. Graphite pencils ranging from 2H to 6B, sharpies and colored pencils.

The process that I went through to make this piece was I first had to visualize with my own mind what the leaves would look like drawn out on the page itself. Next I had to sketch the leaves lightly out onto a different page. Then I had to think of what patterns would fit well with the drawing. So I decided to make squares within squares using the colors of leaves. I then decided to include a dark color around the light colors that I made to make it look unique and not just one type of color. I am pretty satisfied with way it turned out and I do not know at this moment what I should do to make it better.
