Abstract shoe 11*14
The main idea that guided me into doing this art piece was basically being involved with nature. I first started zooming into my shoe laces then I had to recreate what I saw based on that zoomed observation. I then had pick a second zoom-in of my shoe to make it look abstract. I decided to make mine have animals in it because I thought it would be cool to draw the main animals of Maine in each of their habitats and because I love animals. The animals that you see in the drawing show a moose, coyote, black bear, owl, heron, seal and a chipmunk each in their own areas. I
My artwork was created on a 11*14 piece of printmaking paper with a half inch border. The materials that I used were a pencil, ruler to measure and draw my straight lines and an abundance of colored pencils for details.
The process was simple I first had to think of what animals should go in which box. Next I decided to make an outline of the animals and their habitats. Then finally I colored in the habitats and added the details. The problem for this artwork was thinking about what certain habitat an animal would want to be live in. But once I thought about it some more I was able to draw it out on paper.
