December 20th, 2024
Dear Parents,
During this holiday season it has been a joy to witness even more of the Lasallian spirit in our students and in our community. This time of year brings out the spirit of giving and supporting those less fortunate than us. The spirit of giving and support of our students was evident in the generous donations from our community to our school at our 3rd Annual Archangel's Gala which was held this past weekend. The purpose of the gala was to help raise money for tuition assistance and scholarships to help ensure that finances aren’t a barrier to students being able to attend our school. We are extremely grateful to our community coming together for both our current and future students.
As this first semester comes to an end, it has been such a joy to witness our five Lasallian Core Principles in action throughout our school and the entire St. Michael’s community. God’s presence is clearly evident in the spirit of our school. Acts of kindness are consistently taking place throughout the school day. Respect for, and inclusion of others is being demonstrated both on and off campus through our daily interactions. Quality teaching and learning is taking place in the classroom. Care and concern for those less fortunate is evident through service learning projects, community outreach, and community support. Our students, faculty, staff, parents, alumni, and community at large embody the Lasallian spirit and what St. Michael’s High School is truly all about. We cannot thank you enough for all that you do for our students and our school. They demonstrate so many wonderful qualities because of you.
On behalf of the entire faculty and staff of St. Michael’s High School, I would like to wish you a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! During the Christmas break, we ask that our students stay safe and make good choices. Semester grades will be available on OnBoard January 9th. We look forward to seeing our students back on campus on January 6th and are excited for what the new year will bring.
Holiday blessings to all our families and thank you again for all your support. Go Horsemen!
Yours in Christ,
Martin C. Sandoval, Principal

Let us remember...
In the words of the Founder:
"The shepherds, says the Gospel, made haste to go to Bethlehem, where they found Mary and Joseph, and the Infant lying in a manger. On seeing Him they recognized what had been told to them, and then went back glorifying the Lord for all that they had seen and heard. . . Nothing draws our souls to God more strongly than the poor and humble condition of those who wish to lead us to Him.”
Meditation by St. John Baptist de La Salle for the Feast of the Nativity of Jesus
What a remarkable thing it is that God chose the poor and humble shepherds to be Christ's first witnesses and earthly messengers. This Christmas, spend a little time recalling and sharing in the shepherds' humility, awe, and joy.
Wishing everyone in the St. Mike's family a safe, blessed and joyous Christmas holiday!
Live Jesus in our hearts. . .
