January 10, 2025
Dear Parents,
I hope our students and families had a wonderful Christmas break. The new year brings an opportunity for our students to build upon past successes and learn and grow from past setbacks and disappointments. We had a really strong and successful first semester. Let’s make this second semester an even better one!
Fall semester grades are now posted on OnBoard. These are the grades that will appear on the official transcripts. If you have any questions about your child’s semester grades, please email your child’s teachers directly.
With spring semester upon us it is an exciting time for the class of 2025 as the countdown begins toward graduation. It is imperative that our seniors avoid getting that dreaded Senioritis and remain focused the entire semester. Good attendance and ensuring that all work is completed and turned in on time is very important. Missing assignments was an area of concern last semester for all grade levels.
Winter sports and activities are in full swing and doing well. Please come out and support our students. Have a happy new year, and as always thank you for your continued support of our great school. Go Horsemen!
Yours in Christ,
Martin C. Sandoval, Principal
As the weather changes we are in flu and cold season, please make sure to contact the front office for any student absences. Please call or email Ms. Margie Baca to report absences.
Tardies are starting to increase again, please help us ensure that your students are here on time. Please refer to our handbook for acceptable excused tardies.

The Christian Brothers Institute has declared 2025 to the Year of Lasallian Spirituality. Everyone involved with St. Michael’s High School is part of a global Lasallian family dedicated to making education a transformative, spiritual force for good. Whether you are a teacher, coach, administrator, staff, parent, student, or alumni, this year is a call to unite and live out the core principles that bring us together. Together, let us walk this year in the spirit of De La Salle, guided by faith and zeal, as we strive to build a world that reflects the light and hope of the Gospel.
This weekend, we especially ask everyone to remember our Lasallian family members in Southern California. La Salle High School in Pasadena and Cathedral High School in Los Angeles both have had to close temporarily due to the challenging conditions there. And sadly, between the two schools, 20 families already have lost their homes to the fires. We ask you to keep them all in your prayers.
