Maladara

Merfolk have not been seen in the Serpent's Teeth for the past few years, but there are occasional reports of a singing ghost sighted near Freeport. Maladara was the leader of the merfolk tribe closest to Freeport until she was slain fighting the sahaugin. The sea-devils decimated her tribe, forcing them to leave the Serpent's Teeth area. The survivors now dwell near Gorilla Island, lead by Maladara's daughter Sushandrali. Between the loss of her tribe's territory and the trauma of her own death, Maladara's spirit cannot find rest, so she now haunts the deserted waters where she ruled in life.
