Helen Fremlin's Will (1939)

Extract from Chatham News of 23 June 1939:

Miss Helen Fremlin, of Thatched Cottage,Wateringbury, who died on the 16th

February last, aged 85 years, and left gross estate of the value of £17,245 1s. 6d.

with net personalty £8,747 5s. 8d., bequeathed £650 to the Royal United Kingdom

Society; £5OO to the West Kent Hospital; £5OO to the Kent County Ophthalmic and Aural Hospital; £5OO to the Dreadnought Hospital for Seamen, Greenwich; £5OO to the Church of England Zenana Mission; £250 upon trust for the maintenance and repair of cottages at

Wateringbury for the use of the district nurse, and a child centre After numerous

personal bequests, half the residue is for the Rochester Diocesan Society Board of

Finance and the Parochial Church Council Trottiscliffe.
