WATERINGBURY —

Marriages.—

On Monlast [sic]this village was the scene of much gaiety, the occasion of the marriage of Mr. James Large to Miss Esther Bodkin, and Mr. Henry Shrubsole to Miss Hannah Halkings, the Rev. H. Stevens. Much merry-making took place during the day, both parties remaining among the tradespeople till evening, and giving good proof of their hospitality. At night both couples started for France, where it is understood they will spend the honeymoon.

A complete set of changes (720) was rung on the occasion in twenty-five minutes, by the following ringers:—George Boorman (treble), Charles Boorman (second), Frederick Wells (third), Richard Newman (fourth), Cheesman (fifth), Young (sixth), and Waterman (tenor).
