Gransden or Gransdon was part of Wateringbury Estate put up for sale in 1876, comprising lots 13 and 14 of the sale particulars (Kent archives CHS P385/28/3). Wateringbury Street was the former name for Tonbridge Road. Lot 14 was later known  as The Laurels.
