Pirate's Guide to Freeport

This book includes crossreferences by chapter only, never by page. For references to Chapter Thirteen: Denizens of Freeport in particular, page references would be a useful time-saver. (A few page numbers are supplied here, but only when the chapter reference was also omitted.) Also, there are no references in the main text to the Campaign Hooks on pp. 246-249.

    In the Key Figures sections of each location, the text usually reads, "The following characters can generally be found..." However, there is frequently only one profile given for a given location.

p. 27, Captain's Day: The solstice is the beginning of winter, not mid-winter.

p. 29, Drac's Fall: In the header, "Drac s" should be "Drac's". The time of year for this holiday is not given. In the year of Drac's death, "Holiday in the Sun" took place during Swagfest, shortly after the events of Death in Freeport; the Freeport Trilogy concluded one to two months later, putting Drac's Fall in late spring, shortly before the summer solstice.

p. 32, The Current Council: Torian and Tarmon are out of alphabetical order.

pp. 35-36, The Sea Lord's Guard: Change "(see The Freeport Watch)" to "(see The Watch)". The Watch is described on pp. 37-39.

Chapter VIII: Drac's End

pp. 128-129, 7. Fang and Claw: The land shark (AKA bulette) is described in the Monster Manual (d20) and True20 Bestiary, but what is a "jungle devil"? (No such creature appears in the True20 Freeport Companion.)

Chapter IX: Temple District

p. 133, Locations of Interest: In the sentence before location, 1, "Old City" should be "Temple District".

p. 136, Talbous Mog: According to the d20 book Denizens of Freeport, Mog is a priest of the God of Earth.

p. 138, Temple of the God of Knowledge [map]: North is towards the bottom of the page (unlike all other maps in this book).

pp. 141-144, 4. Temple of the God of the Sea: The city mentioned under Adventure Seeds (p. 144) is the same one as in the City Beneath the Sea sidebar (p. 141).

p. 143, God of Penitence: There is a chapel to this god in the Tombs (see p. 110).

pp. 145-146, 6. Temple of the God of Pirates: The description of the temple has been changed somewhat from Freeport: The City of Adventure (however, the mast and crow's nest fits the "architecture" better now). The map in that earlier book needs to be updated.

Under History, insert "from" after "distance" in the second sentence of the second paragraph.

Peg-Leg Peligro wears stereotypical pirate captain garb, not priestly robes. (See Black Sails Over Freeport, p. 30). He is listed here as a journeyman (a level 6-10 character in d20 or True20 terms, per those Freeport Companions, neither of which provide his full stats). However, Black Sails makes him a 12th-level character, which would be master level.

Under Adventure Hooks, "priests are happy" should be "priests happy".

pp. 157-159, 8. Maeorgan Manor: Mendor Maeorgan is described more fully in Chapter Thirteen (p. 191).

p. 200, Captain Scarbelly: See Buccaneers of Freeport for more detail about Scarbelly. Scarbelly is a 7th-level fighter in the d20 Freeport Companion and a 7th-level warrior in the True20 Freeport Companion, but Buccaneers lists him as a "master" (level 11+).

p. 208, Cuttleblack: Cuttleblack originally appeared in Denizens of Freeport (pp. 23-24), where he was a mind flayer (as is still obvious from his portrait). However, mind flayers are closed content of Wizards of the Coast, not Open Content, so his race will need to be redefined for any new Freeport support materials.

p. 209, The Reclamation Project: According to Denizens of Freeport (pp. 27-28), "Knorberrtal" should be "Knorrbertal".
