The Errata and Corrections document gives official errata for the Fantasy AGE Basic Rulebook and Titansgrave: The Ashes of Valkana. That document states:
"This document contains errata for the first printings of Fantasy AGE and Titansgrave. It includes only material that would have an effect on play, not issues of style or formatting. We do fix those things in future printings but there’s no point cluttering this document with them."
I have quoted this document below, and added by own corrections and commentary, some of which is comprised of the "issues of style and formatting" that the above document omits. The official errata is tagged below as "[Errata and Corrections]".
Table of Contents (p. 1)
Add: "Character Sheet ... 144".
Introduction (p. 3)
No notes.
Chapter 1: Character Creation (p. 8)
Page 10, Ability Focuses: In the list of Dexterity focuses, delete Piloting. [Errata and Corrections]
p. 10, Intelligence Focuses:
Page 10, Ability Focuses: In the list of Intelligence focuses, add Arcana (Various). [Errata and Corrections]
Research and Religious Lore are out of alphabetical order.
Page 10, Ability Focuses: In the list of Perception focuses, add Tasting and Touching. [Errata and Corrections]
p. 11, Playing a Dwarf: In the second bullet item, "Intelligence (Evaluation)" should also be bold.
p. 12, Playing an Elf: In the second bullet item, "Intelligence (Natural Lore)" should also be bold.
p. 14, Orc: In the third paragraph, insert "and" before "broad mouths".
pp. 20-21: Mage: A profile of the iconic mage, Wim, can be found in the Ronin Roundtable series on the Green Ronin blog.
pp. 22-23, Rogue: [The iconic rogue has not received a profile in the Ronin Roundtable series.]
pp. 24-25, Warrior: A profile of the iconic warrior, Aza, can be found in the Ronin Roundtable series on the Green Ronin blog.
Under Level 2, "Intelligence (Military Lore)" should be bold.
Page 25, Level 12 power Veteran: In the example, Strength (Axes) should be Fighting (Axes). [Errata and Corrections]
p. 26, Gaining Levels; and p. 26, Ability Advancement:
I've finished reading the Fantasy AGE Basic Rulebook, and have a question about ability advancements and stats derived from them. Some stats (like Speed and Spellpower) only add an ability once, but Health adds Constitution every level, and Magic Points does the same with Willpower. If one of these two abilities is raised during level advancement, are the benefits of the improved score retroactive, or only applied from that point forward? For example, if a Warrior raises Constitution from 3 to 4 at 2nd level, she adds 1d6+4 to her Health. Does she also add another +1 for the Constitution portion of her starting Health at 1st level? I cannot find anything in the rulebook that clarifies this (and I've never played DA, so don't know if it's more explicitly addressed in that game). [Tim Emrick, "Ability advances, Health, and Magic Points," Ronin Army forums, 10/11/2015]
This is the only rule that there has ever been an official ruling, AFAIK. Pramas posted something a dozen years ago about D-AGE that CON isn't retroactive for HP. Personally though, I use retroactive CON. [shonuff, "Re: Ability advances, Health, and Magic Points," Ronin Army forums, 10/11/2015]
pp. 26-27, Starting Equipment: Bows and crossbows come with ammunition. If the character chooses a black powder weapon, do they start with some amount of powder and shot, or do they have to buy it with their starting money?
Chapter 2: Basic Rules (p. 29)
p. 31, Basic Test Difficulty [sidebar]: In the table header, "TEXT" should be "TEST".
p. 38, Mounts and Combat: In the second and seventh bullet points, "move" should be Capitalized.
p. 39, Circle: In the last sentence, do not capitalize "Flying".
Chapter 3: Character Options (p. 40)
Page 41, Dexterity Focuses: Add the following to the descriptions of Dexterity Focuses:
SAILING: Operating and maintaining a sailing ship.
[Errata and Corrections]
pp. 42-47, Talents: Armor Training (p. 42) and Archery (p. 43) are out of alphabetical order.
Page 43, Chirurgy: Change the Requirement to: Intelligence 1 or higher. This will allow mages to take Chirurgy as one of their Starting Talents at level 1, which was the intention. [Errata and Corrections]
p. 43, Contacts: "Master" should be bold and in small caps.
pp. 44-45, Linguistics: The languages list includes "Human," but humans speak only the Common Tongue (per p. 14).
p. 47, Thievery: In the first sentence, insert a comma before "too".
pp. 48-49, Berserker: In the last sentence of the first paragraph, "where" should be "when".
pp. 49-50, Elementalist: In the last sentence of the first paragraph, "alost" should be 'almost".
p. 51, Mage Hunter: Under Novice, add a period at the end of the paragraph.
For campaigns where black powder weapons are available, but rare and expensive (such as Freeport), GMs may wish to allow mage hunters to choose any one Weapon Group (which could be Black Powder) to treat as magical.
pp. 51-52, Sharpshooter: The Master degree benefit is the same as that of the Thrown Weapon Style talent (p. 47), so a Sharpshooter who qualified using that talent need not master both.
p. 52, Sword Mage: Under Requirements, "Accuracy of" should be "Accuracy or".
Chapter 4: Equipment (p. 53)
pp. 53-54, Armor and Shield Details:
Pages 54 and 55: In the sections on armor and weapon details, there is a bullet point for Weight. This can be ignored, as weight is not something characters need to track in Fantasy AGE. [Errata and Corrections]
p. 54, Armor and Shield Descriptions: Under Light Plate Armor, "armored" should be "armor".
pp. 54-55, Weapon Details: If you lack the minimum Strength for a weapon, it only does 1d6-1 damage. The normal damage for a spiked buckler (p. 56) is only 1d6-1, even with its Minimum Strength of -1.
Pages 54 and 55: In the sections on armor and weapon details, there is a bullet point for Weight. This can be ignored, as weight is not something characters need to track in Fantasy AGE. [Errata and Corrections]
p. 55, Missile Weapons: Under Long Range, "farther way" should be "farther away".
p. 56, Weapons [table]: See notes to pp. 54-55, Weapon Details.
Chapter 5: Magic (p. 66)
Page 71, Strings of Fate: Replace the spell description with this:
Description: You pull the web of fate to favor your party. You and your allies within 10 yards of you may each choose one stunt. Characters can perform their chosen stunt for -1 SP (minimum 1) for the rest of the encounter. A character can only benefit from one strings of fate spell at a time.
[Errata and Corrections]
p. 68, Standard Spell Stunts: Under Mighty Spell, "d6" should be "1d6".
Under Imposing Spell, capitalize "move".
Chapter 6: Stunts (p. 77)
p. 79, Exploration Stunts: Under Resources at Hand, insert a comma after "moment or two".
p. 80, Stunt Notes and Test Restrictions:
In the Basic Rulebook, page 80 - the example. Najah gets 3 Stunt Points. She spends 2 on Speedy Search - leaving 1 SP. How does she get And Another Thing when that costs 2 SP? [capmarvel, “Example in the Basic Rulebook,” Ronin Army forums, 5/6/2018]
If she has the Journeyman rank in Intrigue, she can do And Another Thing for 1 SP instead of 2. [Kot the Protector, “Re: Example in the Basic Rulebook,” Ronin Army forums, 5/6/2018]
Ah...that makes sense. Of course it would have been great if they mentioned that in the example. They did have plenty of room to add that. [capmarvel, “Re: Example in the Basic Rulebook,” Ronin Army forums, 5/7/2018]
They might have been low on wordcounts. Or they just forgot. [Kot the Protector, “Re: Example in the Basic Rulebook,” Ronin Army forums, 5/7/2018]
Chapter 7: The Game Master (p. 82)
p. 93, Consulting the Players: In the first sentence, "planning on" should be "planning an".
Chapter 8: Mastering the Rules (p. 96)
No notes.
Chapter 9: Adversaries (p. 103)
The stat blocks in this chapter are not consistent about whether ability focuses should be in bold text, as the ability names are. The standard format in the Fantasy AGE Bestiary and Blue Rose is to have the ability names in bold text, but not the ability focuses (or their parentheses).
In addition, all stat blocks have the Willpower score in bold, but none of the other ability ratings are. Ability numbers should all be in regular text.
p. 103, NPCs and Classes: "Non Player Characters" should be "non-player characters" (cf. p. 99, Major and Minor NPCs).
p. 104, Innkeeper: The "2 (Drinking)" following "Constitution" should not be in bold.
Page 104, Non-Combatants: “Regardless of Strength or Dexterity” should be “regardless of Accuracy and Fighting.” [Errata and Corrections]
Page 105, Bandit: Add Archery Style (Novice) before Armor Training (Novice). Then delete Single Weapon Style (Novice), as he does not meet its requirements. [Errata and Corrections]
Under Weapons, the Dagger line should not be bold.
p. 106, Dragon [stat block]: Under Large and in Charge, the "skirmish" and "knock prone" stunts should be capitalized.
Page 112, Serpentfolk: Under Favored Stunts, Bite should be Quick Bite. [Errata and Corrections]
Page 113, Spectre: Delete Spirit and Entropy as Intelligence focuses. [Errata and Corrections]
Chapter 10: Rewards (p. 115)
pp. 116-117, Experience Point Awards: Under Routine, "conversions" should be "conversations".
p. 117, Reputation: In the fourth sentence, "adventure" should be "adventurer".
pp. 118-119, Using Magic Items: In the second paragraph, capitalize "Melee".
Page 119: Under all three magic arrows (Accuracy, Piercing, and Wounding), replace the phrase “sling stone” with “throwing knife”. Slings are not in the rules yet. [Errata and Corrections]
This replacement is problematic, because throwing knives are not ammunition, so are not normally consumed by use.
p. 120, Elven Mail: This armor's protection is equal to light mail. (This is obvious from context, but not explicitly stated.)
p. 120, Helm of Invisibility: The benefits of invisibility are not defined. Based on the invisibility application of the Light Shaping arcanum in Blue Rose (p. 101), apply the following penalties: "[O]pponent unable to see you have a -2 penalty to their attack rolls against you (assuming they know the general direction to attack in at all), as well as a -2 penalty on their Defense against your attacks."
Page 121, Thunder Axe: Strength + Axes should be Fighting + Axes. [Errata and Corrections]
Chapter 11: The Campaign Setting (p. 122)
The examples in this book are in italic, so all book and movie titles (including Fantasy AGE) in those examples should not be in italic.
Chapter 12: Adventures in Highfalls Swale (p. 128)
p. 129, Adranham: The map on p. 150 shows the Silverdelve Mines to be east of the village, not north.
p. 130, Highfalls Swale [map]: North is towards the top of the map. Per p. 128, the Swale is about 12 miles across, so each inch on the map is roughly 4 miles.
p. 131, Feldenwood: In the first paragraph, delete the comma after "tall".
p. 132, Choosing Night Youth: This stat block matches the format of the Innkeeper (p. 104) except that ability names are not in bold text.
p. 134, A Troubled Crossing: "This big" should be "This bit".
p. 135, Dunmara's Isle [map]: North is towards the top of the map. Per p. 129, the island is about one mile across.
p. 136, The Shadows Dance: The second instance of "Perception (Tracking) should also be bold. "TN 9" should be bold.
(For additional commentary on "Choosing Night," see "Fantasy AGE: Starting Adventures" at my Studded Plate blog.)
Fantasy Age Glossary (p. 140)
Page 141, Weapon Group entry: “Add Strength” should be “add Strength or Perception as appropriate.” [Errata and Corrections]
Character Sheet (p. 144)
"Interlligence" should be "Intelligence". (This has been corrected on the free downloadable character sheet on the Green Ronin site.)
