1965-67 Peace Corps, Liberia, W. Africa - Teacher, etc.
1967-69 Beth Israel Hospital, Boston, MA - Caseworker in federally funded clinic in Roxbury, MA
1967 Bought my 1st car - 1967 MGB
1969-72 San Diego, CA - Eligibility Worker with County Welfare Dept.
1970 Got married / no children
1972-83 San Francisco, CA - worked w/husband in language school/interpreting & translation business-
1983 Marin County, CA - Health & Human Services. Officially retired 3/26/11 however I agreed to continue working part-time for a few months.
Happy to report I still have the '67 MG and husband.
Gail’s Update (2021)
After 28 yrs I finally retired in 2012. Last position with Marin County Health & Human Services was Hearings Officer for Welfare Dept.
My husband of 50 years still runs his own business providing interpreting and translating services to Health facilities, et al.
We’ve always had at least one dog but no children. I took up tennis after retirement and play at least 5 days a week….making up for lost time.
