I lived in Weston and attended Staples for junior and senior years. I went to CCSU for a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education, graduating in 1965. I was also married in the same year and taught school in Plainville, CT for 4.5 years before my daughter was born. We moved to Riverton, CT in 1971, renovating a farmhouse on 32 acres. In 1976 my son was born and I was a stay at home mom with the exception of tutoring and teaching Pre-School for 2 years. I was divorced in 1982. I received my Master's Degree in Elementary Ed. in 1984, having attended CCSU, Fairfield U, and UCONN. I taught Special Ed., & Grades 4, 5 and 6 in Norfolk, CT 1984-2007. I have been retired for 3 years and have enjoyed many trips to CA where my children live, as well as the Bahamas, Vegas, Lake Tahoe, NC, SC, & Arizona. I finally have had time to enjoy theater, reading, gardening, antiquing, and an art course at NWCC. I also substitute teach and tutor.
