John Crane

I attended Boston University from 1962 - 1965 before joining the USMC from 1965 - 1968. Served in 2nd force recon and served in Vietnam in 1966 - 1967.

I worked for the town of Westport after returning from Nam in 1967 where I met Bobbi, my wife of 39 years. We have a wonderful 27 year old daughter, Jaye Ashley, who is in graduate school in San Diego, California.

We moved to Scituate, Massachusetts in 1972 where I was a full time firefighter and owned and operated a small construction and tree service company. My wife was a teacher for the town of Brookline for 32 years.

We both retired in 2002 and were Florida “snowbirds” before moving to Punta Gorda full time in 2006. Our retirement has been a delightful mix of lots of tennis, golf, boating and fishing surrounded by warmth and sunshine and great friends.
