Janice O’Grady Nuscher
Janice's 2021 Autobiography
After high school, I attended Katharine Gibbs School in Boston. Upon graduating, I landed a job with Ted Kennedy. He was running for the Senate in Massachusetts and won the election. I did not want to go to Washington, DC so I stayed in Boston and ended up training with a synchronized swimming team and traveled to Tokyo, Japan where I lived for about a year.
I returned home, got married, had two children and lived in Connecticut, Pennsylvania, Florida, New York and Nebraska.
I moved to Annapolis, MD in 1985 and was a real estate agent with various companies for over 25 years. My husband, Gene, was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s Disease and as a direct result of his devastating disease and the impact on the family, I opened my own Assisted Living Home for Alzheimer’s/Dementia care in Annapolis in 2001. My website, www.lacasallc.com tells my story. Gene passed away in March 2005.
Recently I opened Fancypants Consignment Boutique in Annapolis.
I have a beach house in Bethany Beach, Delaware and love being near the water and walking the beach. I always remember our beach parties at Compo! Those were the good ole days!
Janice’s Update (2021)
I am basically retired or am supposed to be but there is so much going on and I have been very busy. I am in the process of closing my little shop "Fancypants" because of Covid.
