Puzzle 33 - Pseudo Color Coding

Puzzle:

This storage room is filled with bits of junk, and it looks like someone started trying to organize them before you. But it’s now up to you to put everything back in place as you navigate your way through each row, left to right. This or that, here or there, keep or throw out, you don’t even know where to begin. Whoever was here before you didn’t even bother to color code anything—no two of anything are in the same section together! You sigh. You’ll get there after you figure out a thing or two.

[Solution: Given just enough information, players fill in the puzzle pieces like a sudoku (clued in by the title, which read aloud sounds close to sudoku!) & get a grid like the one shown below. Then, clued in by the flavor text of going “through the rows” and this or that/thing or two → binary, players look at the intersection of pieces across the rows and assign it 0 if it goes left and 1 if it goes right. Then, converting the binary strings 01110, 00100, 01101, 01001, 00110, 01111 to hexadecimal (clued by color code and the focus on 6s), you get e4d96f, which is color named STRAW.]
