Paradigm
Everything is connected. People, plants, animals, elements, places, the living and the dead. A son is connected to his parents, just as a brother is to a sister. A man is connected to world by the spark of life within him. But, the man is also connected to the afterlife by those he was connected to that have lost their sparks and entered death. A man is connected to a place by the time and memories that he has of it along with the connections he has made with others in that location.
Merits
1. Language (1 point Mental): Kuruk fluently speaks Apache.
2. Enchanting Voice (2 point Phyiscal): There is something about Kuruk's voice that others cannot ignore. When he commands, they are cowed. When he seduces, they swoon. Whether thundering, soothing, persuading or simply talking his voice commands attention. The difficulties for all rolls involving the use of his voice to persuade, charm or command are reduced by two.
Orphaned Garou Kinfolk (2 point Supernatural): In the old days, Garou Kinfolk were often watched and jealously guarded. But, with the dwindling wolf and Garou populations and the heavy concentrations of human society, this has become a difficult task. Some pockets with strong Kinfolk strains remain protected by the Garou, but orphan Kinfolk are becoming more common with each passing year. While some human Kinfolk discover their true heritage, many never do. The wild urges burn just below their humanity, often alienating or intimidating "normal" humans without either party really knowing why. While orphan Kinfolk are not taught about the supernatural elements that exist around them, awareness often sneaks in around the edges. Many have a knack for stumbling into the shadows without understanding them. Note the character is not a werewolf but distantly related to one. The character has all the genetic markers that could produce a werewolf offspring if the character mated with another orphaned Kinfolk or with an actual Garou. It will be up to the Storyteller if, when and how an orphaned Kinfolk's bloodline comes about in the story.
Flaws
1. Otherworldly Taint (2 point Supernatural): Kuruk has a physical peculiarity, his odd eye color which is amber-colored, that makes him stick out. This flaw works against Kuruk with interactions between Kindred, Garou and any Witch/Monster Hunters. Anyone of them can suspect Kuruk is not a "normal" human and can make a Perception + Awareness roll, Difficulty 7, to determine what he actually is. Note this isn't a Taint of Corruption, just an indication that Kuruk is not quite normal. In the reality, amber-colored eyes are often called “wolf eyes” because they resemble the pigment of those found in wolves. This eye color consists of a golden or yellow pigment with a bit of copper and rust tint. Lipochrome, the name of the yellow pigment, is extremely rare and as a result few people in the world have this eye color.
2. Ward (3 point Mortal Society): Kuruk is devoted to protecting his 19-year-old heroin addict step-son, Dominick Coleman.

BACKGROUND DETAILS
Notes:
Appearance
Kuruk has peculiar amber-colored eyes that sit above a slightly crooked nose that looks to have been broken once upon a time. He maintains free-flowing, neck-length black hair shot with a few strands of premature iron-gray. Always resting upon his head is a black Cattleman-styled cowboy hat that holds a carved piece of turquoise in the shape of a bear on the front and a notched eagle feather set into the braided black leather band. While he is broad at the shoulders, he is actually a thin man with the lean, muscled body type of a frequent wilderness hiker. He frequently wears solid-colored, button-down shirts with rolled up sleeves over a matching solid-colored t-shirt of either black, blue or red with blue jeans and always his dusty pair of black cowboy boots - which have a metal-tipped toe and simple panels of rattlesnake-skin sewn on the upper portion of the boot.
Possessions:
1. Vehicle: Kuruk owns a blue 2008 Jeep Wrangler 4X4 Rubicon which always contains his Hiking/Bug-Out Bag.
2. Kuruk's Hiking/Bug-Out Bag: The bag contains a modern steel tomahawk and belt sheath; a hunting knife that fits on the other side of the tomahawk's belt sheath and features a screw-off compass built into the end of the hollowed out handle which holds the following items wrapped in their own waxed paper packets - a dozen matches, 15-feet of fishing line, a few fish hooks and sinkers, a modern fire-starter striker; Kuruk's ritual instruments - candles, chalk, a bone peace pipe and pouchs of both salt and tobacco; a pair of extra blue jeans, a couple of button-down shirts, t-shirts, boxers and socks; an Army canteen and a metal drinking cup.
Allies
1. Michelle “Wynter” Wu, Order of Hermes – House Tytalus, a reckless apprentice. Kuruk and Michelle met when she accidentally ran into his table at the Farmer’s Market and smashed all of his farm’s honey jars while wearing magical sunglasses that showed people’s potential. After recognizing he had the potential to become a Mage, Michelle took him to Phoenix Rising where they sought aid in finding his stepson, Dominick.
2. Sheila Runningbear, Dreamspeaker. Kuruk and Sheila met the night Michelle brought him to Phoenix Rising. As the only other Native American and shamanistic practitioner of magic, Kuruk has unofficially bonded with her an apprentice.
3. Holly Snow
4. Nick Mathewson
Resources
1. Property: Kuruk owns a small former cattle ranch turned lettuce farm with a decent amount of acreage within an hour or two drive of Phoenix. If he liquidated the farm, it would be about $500,000 in cash. His monthly income is about $9,000.
