Hand Me a Gun and Ask Me Again

Human Name: Edward Gunn

Renown Name: Hand Me a Gun and Ask Me Again

Tribe: Glasswalker

Auspice: Ragabash

Upstart Alpha: Trickster. Rebel. Visionary. All of these words have been used to describe the Alpha of the unusually named pack We Blame Our Parents. Hand Me a Gun and Ask Me Again was the Beta of a Garou pack which was destroyed defending a Caern in Oregon. The Node had come under coordinated attack by a number of Black Spiral Packs and their allies who seemed desperate to either seize it or destroy it. When the battle had ended, Edward Gunn’s entire pack lay dead around him, but in the cradle of that Caern a new totem was born: Coywolf.

Edward dedicated himself to the young Totem of Cunning, and embraced both the change and the evolution he represented. He gathered around him outcasts and deviants who had trouble fitting in within the Garou Nations static culture of Tradition, and together they seek to forge a new way, challenging the Litany itself. The Garou Nation refuse to question whether their actions do in fact serve Gaia despite the harm he sees and the war being lost.

Coywolf has shown him the possibility of doing something different.

Prized Possession: A broken feitish, a jawbone knife, handed down from father to son for generations. Hand Me a Gun broke it in Oregon, at the center of the Caern he now calls the Cradle, defending a pregnant coyote as it gave birth to the Totem Coywolf. Gunn personally shattered the fetish, breaking it in two and releasing the spirit so that it would push back the enemy long enough for Coywolf to enter the world. The act of destroying the old to herald the new is a powerful symbol, and he hopes that with the men and women he has gathered around him, We Blame Our Parents can make the world better.

Relationship with the Garou: Edward Gunn has given the members of the Upstarts a place where they are accepted without question, a place to belong, a family. For this their loyalty and belief in him is absolute, and it is a burden he takes seriously.

Among the Garou Nation relations is more strained. Hand Me a Gun is good at politicking and making his pack indispensable. Gunn and the Upstarts provides funding for wolf conservation and infrastructure construction on Indian Reservations for the Quiet Thunder, provides material support Gilead and Dessert Morning in the realm of influence with human institutions, and runs interference between law enforcement and Coyote Skull.

But the Gunn’s questioning of the Litany, challenging Tradition, and desire to forge a new path has put him in a precarious position. Any mistsept and the other packs will rise up and exterminate him and his people, but no one said creating a better future was easy.

Relationship Within the Community: Though not a formal member of the ruling Pax (Camarilla, Traditions, Ravenscore Crime Family), Hand Me a Gun and Ask Me Again is recognized as one of the leaders of the Garou Nation, and is often the first approached by other factions. For better or worse, he is the most accessible, and is willing to trade favors in order to secure the future he envisions. Relations with Ravenscore is best described as transactional, and both he and Jameson tolerate each other for the moment. But the Traditions are an unknown, and it is rumored that he has begun cultivating ties with Phoenix Rising.
