Burglar

Chun-Hei Park

Name: Chun-Hei Park

Tradition: Celestial Chorus

Nature: Heretic

Demeanor: Judge

Role: Burglar – Chun-Hei is a skilled cat-burglar who prefers to commit crimes the old-fashioned way: sneaking into an empty house/bank/gallery and taking what she wants. She’s built a network of contacts and fences across the globe to help locate targets and unload merchandise. She brings to the team a technical skill that has proved critical in the past.

Appearance: Chun-Hei is in her early 20’s and it often surprises people how one so young could have obtained so much experience. She’s average in height and a little on the thin side, she prefers comfortable clothes and has no sense of style at all. As a result, she can stick out in a crowd with her unusual fashion choices. A trained observer, she watches everyone and everything though she sometimes gives the impression she’s not paying attention.

Personality: Chun-Hei is shy, and sometimes comes across as an introvert. She doesn’t avoid eye contact but rarely speaks up around people she doesn’t know. Once among friends, she opens up into an avid sports fan who believes the center of the world is Chicago and its many sports teams. The fact that the Bears suck so much is taken as a personal insult.

History: Chun-Hei’s father was a government official in North Korea who fell out of favor with the Kim family. She was thrown into a gulag at the age of 12 along with the rest of her family. She escaped to China when she was 15 and was taken in by Pickett who was working a job in Bejing. He connected her with a mentor who brought her into the Chorus while her mentor’s husband helped her develop and hone the thieving skills she acquired in prison.

Chun-Hei is a Satanist, and believes that there are evil people in the world who need to be held accountable. She does not consider herself evil, but feels to many of the religious use their beliefs (it can’t be called Faith) as justification to persecute others. She believes the greatest punishment is to shine the light of truth and dispel the lies we all tell ourselves. Who better to do that than Samael?

Chun-Hei is just as likely to steal secrets as she is cash and items of value, which she will then share with those who are best able to hold her target accountable.
