Muscle

Hannah St. John

Name: Hannah St. John

Tradition: Akashic Brotherhood

Nature: Competitor

Demeanor: Crusader

Role: Muscle – Instead of picking locks, casing a target, or running a con, Hannah’s talent is fighting, and she is very, very good at it. Through a combination of strength and finesse she is able to take stronger opponents methodically, breaking bones and tearing muscles in an escalating symphony of violence.

Appearance: Hannah is 5’ even with tawny colored skin, brown hair and blue eyes. Her voice can have an almost musical quality to it, suggesting a background in singing. She dresses in clothes that work in a fight, avoiding loose outfits that an opponent can grab onto. When she looks at someone, it’s easy to get the impression she’s imagining how she might take them apart.

Personality: Hannah loves a challenge, and is constantly testing herself against others. She enjoys physical activities, not just fighting, and can easily be found roller blading, rock climbing, or sky diving. She wins honorably and loses gracefully, and prefers to talk straight, though this doesn’t mean she’s rude or undiplomatic. Extremely loyal to family and friends, her favorite activity is to just sit at a table and enjoy good company.

History: Hannah was introduced to martial arts at an early age. Her father was a pro boxer who never made the big time but did well enough to support his family. He introduced his daughter to the “sweet science” when she was in kindergarten and the young girl quickly fell in love with the grace and eloquence that most people fail to grasp.

As she grew older she expanded her skill set to first Tae Kwon Do, then Judo, and eventually Do. She joined the army at 18 and eventually became a Ranger, but was dishonorably discharged when she sent a soldier to the hospital while defending herself. As a result, her dream of a law enforcement career disappeared. She started working teaching martial arts, but barely made enough to support herself.

For Hannah, crime isn’t personal. Some people have a surplus of funds and she has a shortage. Theft is no different than banking or business. She takes what she needs to support her passions and puts away enough to someday retire. She enjoys the life and the challenges it offers. It’s not what her parents would have wanted for her, but she’s made something and will defend it til the end.
