Appearance:

What she lacks in stature, Ash makes up for in presence. She stands out in a crowd, whether it is her bright green streaks in her otherwise naturally blonde short spiky hair or her sensational eyes. The eyes are unique, bright and dark greens swirl about in an endless dance, mesmerizing at times. She wears her hair no longer than four inches in length, the spikes are not sprayed but soft, natural. Ash rarely pays attention to appearance, choosing to wear holey jeans, the knees worn thin from kneeling in her garden and tending to her herbs. Her hands are tiny, though her fingers are long and dextrous and when not tending bar, tend to have dirt underneath the nails. She wears brightly colored shirts, natural fibers always, either bamboo or cotton. Outside in the daylight, she wears a pair of dark circular sunglasses, John Lennon style. Her feet, usually bared, are adorned in soft soled boots, leather while at work.

Personality:

Ash can be the life of the party, she is full of life, enjoys entertaining others while in her element, the bar, a garden. When she enters places that are unfamiliar to her, she is more somber, yet it is hard to contain her for long. Witty, there are times Ash struggles to keep the sarcasm from her voice.

Merits

● Touch of Life (3 points Physical): Ash is vivacious, alive, bubbly. Everything around her springs to life, she uses this to grow all types of herbs in the Phoenix environment, even ones not known to grow in the high desert

● License (2 points Social): Ash received her private investigator’s license five weeks previous to beginning the Chronicle.

● Parlor Trick (1 point Supernatural): Ash is adept at juggling bottles as part of an act at work, she does it without thinking. As she worked on her act she began to push magic into it, adding colored spheres or trails to the juggling act, all neon of course.

● Nightclub (2 point Social): Ash owns the club/bar that she tends. She is a silent partner.

● Loft: Ash owns a loft in the middle of the industrial area of downtown Phoenix. It is about a fifteen minute walk to Candid from her loft.

● Club/Bar “Candid”: Ash owns the club she works at, most are unaware of this and she is not one to talk about it. Most think the manager, Jerome Davis owns the club.

● Vehicle: Ash owns a dark blue 2007 Mazda Miata MX-5. She stores it in a garage space she leases.

David Fist

Age: 42

Height: 6'2”

Weight: 210 pounds

David has dark blue eyes and jet black hair, military style. Every few days he shaves the sides of his head and keeps the top no more than a quarter inch long. At the age of seventeen he entered the army, where he excelled, joining the Special Forces where he stayed until the age of thirty-seven, retiring with high honors. His well-muscled arms are tattooed with his unit and the name of his best friend, who died during one of his many missions. His normal attire is combat boots, slacks that leave nothing to imagination and yet don’t seem tight. He wears a dark tank top, over which he has a loosely fitting buttoned shirt. In the small of his back he has a holster where he carries .40 S&W. He has two wrist sheaths, each with a silver knife He married young but his wife and mother of his child died five years previously of cancer, leaving him as the sole provider for his teenage daughter. A year ago, his daughter was taken. He came to Ash asking her to help him find her. After some reluctance, she helped him. Since then he has made it his mission to hunt those that hurt the innocent. Their relationship is purely plutonic.

LeAnne Fist

Age: 20

Leanne was once innocent, despite having grown up in a household of a Special Forces family. She was your typical Southern girl, treated right by all men who suited her, though this had mostly to do with her father’s ample muscles and slightly veiled threats. She was a daddy’s girl. Her red locks come from her mother, along with her bright green eyes and freckled cheeks. She wears long skirts and blouses, usually purple or baby blue in color. her hair is worn long in a single braid. She was once thin, but now uses eating as a way to forget what had happened to her. Since then she has gained close to 25 pounds, her father has yet to comment on it. LeAnne sees Ash as a friend of her father’s who helped save her, nothing more.

Rochelle

Age: 113 (apparent age 23)

Height: 5'4”

Weight: 112 pounds

Rochelle has high cheekbones, her pale skin is only one of many signs that she is a vampire. She exudes confidence, with her long wavy brown hair flowing down her back and her intoxicating violet eyes. She wears black leather pants and tight silk tops when not wearing sleek evening gowns. Rochelle was one of Ash’s first customers at the club, both potions and booze. They struck up a friendship that turned into something more. They are lovers, not romantically but physically. This is something they keep secret, though they flirt always.

Jerome Davis

Age: 32

Height: 6'1”

Weight: 172 pounds

Jerome is African American, has coal black hair, shaved so close it is hard to tell it would be curly otherwise, and dark brown eyes. He wears sleek always in style suits minus the tie always in tones that accentuate his complexion. He moved to the Phoenix area from Silicon Valley where he made his fortune as the VP of Marketing of a tech startup. He retired just before the 2008 recession. Jerome and Ash met several years earlier when Jerome came to Phoenix to scope out new clubs. They opened Candid together in 2006, declaring it neutral ground soon after. Jerome is not supernatural, however he is somewhat of a groupie, though he has never let on, enjoying their company over humans. His jaw has hard angles and thin lips. He is what most consider gorgeous.

Dr. Carl Marsten

Age: 54

Height: 5'11”

Weight: 173 pounds

A curmudgeon, Dr. Marsten is the epitome of an absent minded professor. He has white sloppy, thinning white hair, thick black rimmed glasses covering his grey eyes and is always wearing a lab coat covering his wrinkled suit. Ash met Dr. Marsten through one of his students when she was looking for a rare species of an herb for a potion. The student mentioned Dr. Martsten’s uncanny ability to find unique and what should be unobtainable herbs and plants one day, Ash just knew she had to meet him. The two of them have talked and traded herbs and plants a couple of times.

Kevin Cato

Age: 36

Height: 5'9”

Weight: 157 pounds

Kevin wears his brown hair long and flowing down his back, while at work he wears a baseball cap to keep it behind his shoulders. His brown eyes are nothing special, though they are set back more than expected. Ash has never met Kevin, but recognizes his voice immediately, it is enchanting, rich, it is clear he sings in his free time. Kevin provides the bar with it more unique boozes, those that are for its more wealthier and more exquisite tastes.
