Notes: Jesse is a man on a mission. Much of his time is spent investigation forbidden science, a grey area where esoteric knowledge of the past meets the cutting edge technology of the future.

Possessions: 69 Charger, firearms (Heckler & Koch MP5A3, P90, 2 SIG 9mm), trinary computer, Encrypted Phone, Lament of the Betrayed

Background Descriptions:

Enhancement: Jesse has an implant inserted into the base of his skull which allows him to access the net wirelessly without the need of a router or a carrier network, though he can connect through such ports if needed. Information and images are displayed in his field of vision like a Heads-Up-Display, and through voice commands and hand gestures he can surf the web, access information, make phone calls, or access his trinary hard drive. This also allows him to access the Digital Web (though not immerse himself in it). There are 2 ports, one behind each ear, which allow him to jack in to mainframes and other computers. Unit has a minor Force 1 effect which allows him to make everything he sees visual to others, floating in the air and circling him. - 1 Permanent point of paradox

Mentor – Kara Stanton was a legend in the Technocracy. Former detective with the Hong Kong police, investigator for INTERPOL and the Hague, she defected to the Order of Hermes when her “apprentice” was slated for re-education. Although she died in Wisconsin, her impact on Jesse was profound, and continues to shape him today.

Alternate Identity – On the run from the Technocracy, hunting Pentex, Jesse uses the identity Jerome Eugene Morrow to avoid detection. The id is good enough to pass a casual inspection, but Jesse needs to stay out of trouble to avoid detection.

Talisman – Search Program – Hound – Data 3, Mind 1, Arete 2 - Jesse’s Talisman is an enchanted program, a piece of electronic code that’s been infused with Prime to create something powerful. When activated, the Program will seek out any relevant information, feeding the results through Jesse’s implant.

Merits/Flaws:

(-) Dark Secret - Jesse is a killer. A product of his apprenticeship and his experiences, Jesse and his mentor hunted down renegade werewolves, demon worshipers, cultists, and terrible people who preyed on the innocent. Individuals who could not be turned over to mundane law enforcement, or imprisoned by mortal courts. Once, their superiors with the Technocracy would have handled it, but since going rogue such matters have instead been resolved with a bullet.

Jesse is aware that his experiences are not the norm, and that his actions would not be accepted by others. He accepts this. He keeps this part of his background to himself but has not stopped hunting monsters of all stripes and delivering them into the hands of whatever god they believe in. He does what is needed so that others can feel safe at night.

PARADIGM

What is Reality? It’s a vast network, a system of interconnected points linked to create a whole which is greater than the individual parts. Whether one is referring to people, computers, companies, or even a series of beehives in a specific ecosystem, the larger the network the more powerful it is. But like a chain, a network is only as strong as its weakest link. Find this weak link and exploit it, and one can bend the network to do incredible things, big and small.

In the past, Mages would access these exploits with chants in secret languages while diving secrets from forbidden texts,. It’s no different today. Just the medium differs. Databases instead of books, numbers instead of words. But the end result is the same. The Mage finds the exploit, a point in the network of reality that weak, and then uses it to bend the entire system to their Will.

FOCI

Trinary Computer with phone – Brought with him from the Technocracy, Jesse’s Trinary Computer is the canvas on which he crafts much of his magic. Wirelessly connected to his implant, in addition to its mundane abilities the system allows him to run advanced procedures (rotes) and has a number already stored in its memory, waiting to be deployed.

Divine Mathematics – Math, not music, is the universal language. Whether its Quantum Physics or Atlantean Geometry, if one knows the secret of numbers all the knowledge of the universe can be gleaned. Jesse uses Enochian numbers combined specific shapes, whose shape and size ratios reinforce his complex spells.

We live in a word of wonders. Man has walked on other planets. The blue print of life has been decoded. Diseases are disappearing. And yet people still will go to the old woman down the street to look at a collection of card for a glimpse of the future. Sometimes they’re looking for a good time. Often the just want hope. The possibility of a better future when reason says otherwise.

Jesse’s cards look like no other deck of Tarot cards. The symbols on them align with Divine Mathematics, while the Enochian words invoke the names of ancient gods and spirits.
