What's He Doing In Washington DC?

September 18, 2014- Was Andy Harris really voted into office to establish federal laws regarding shoes, monuments, plant related paperwork, algae and to amend the Constitution while promoting discrimination?

HELLO???

None of these bills/laws are on the top ten priority list of things we, the people, necessarily want or need right now. Nor were they part of his campaign message.

Harris has introduced, out of the blue, bills addressing tariffs on mens and ladies shoes. One bill would establish a national task force for algae blooms with 18 million dollars appropriated annually for 4 consecutive years. This was after he shot down a much needed federal task force for Lyme and tick borne diseases with NO money appropriated (no cost to the government).

Harris wants to establish another Maryland national monument and one in New York, without additional funding provided for the already strapped and overworked park employees to oversee these monuments. This is an important and worthy project- a good thing- but, it is weighted down by extremely poor planning.

Harris sponsored bills removing the non-discrimination provision from the health care act for health care providers (he is a doctor- isn't this self-serving?).

He wants to lower penalties for laws broken by certain financial institutions. Shouldn't they be higher?

One of Harris's bills would reduce paperwork regarding plants and their estimated $ value; and another is a bill to amend The Constitution. The amendment dictates how many terms legislators can serve, with two terms for Senators and six terms for House members. Harris is a House member. That bill had no co-sponsors, which is no surprise.

Also not surprising, just yesterday he voted to shut down the government AGAIN! The last shut down he voted for cost Americans 24 BILLION DOLLARS!

And he still totally sucks when it comes to Lyme disease issues. He's keeps fighting us, has made no improvements at all, won't work with patients and/or their physicians and is still using his position to bully Lyme treating doctors and sick patients.

Consideration- Bill Tilghman, on the eastern shore, is running against Harris in the upcoming election. I told Mr. Tilghman we'd be tempted to vote for him if he were a frog just to get our district out from under Harris. ~smile~
