WATCH MARYLAND!
NatCap Lyme strives to always keep you abreast of all Lyme related matters. To that end, we want to spotlight the efforts of several Maryland legislators who have proven themselves to be friends and supporters of the Lyme Community!
Our sincere gratitude to Delegates Susan Lee of Montgomery County and Jocelyn Pena-Melnyk of Anne Arundel and Prince Georges Counties for their sponsoring of HB1168, a Bill in support of resolving to proclaim May, Lyme Awareness month in Maryland, annually.
Sadly, an opposition was filed to this Bill. However, that did not deter them from acting on our behalf. With the support of Delegate (and physician) Dan Morhaim of Baltimore County, they jointly requested Governor Martin O’Malley to proclaim May, Maryland Lyme Awareness Month for 2012. Please let them know how much you appreciate their efforts and support them going forward!
