Lyme Disease Awareness Month
The Maryland House of Delegates convened in January 2012 and a Lyme Disease Awareness Bill was introduced by Delegate Susan Lee and co-sponsored by Delegate Pena-Melnyck
NatCapLyme supports HB1168 as it will permanently designate May of 2012, and all succeeding years, as:
Lyme Disease Awareness Month in Maryland
HB1168 will benefit the citizens of Maryland by officially recognizing the problem of Lyme and Tick-borne diseases, encourage Marylanders to learn about these diseases, treat them seriously, take aggressive prevention measures and seek early treatment.
Your Active Support is Needed Now; Here's the Why and the How!
Because there are many commemorative requests in every legislative session, we need to bring Lyme to the top of your legislator's agenda. Unlike most other diseases, awareness can be an effective preventative.
