78. Skyscraper Mountain, 7078' (H)
Skyscraper Mountain is an easy hike by itself and can also be combined with Third Burroughs for a loop trip. The route to Skyscraper is mostly trail except for the last 0.25 mile, which has a good footpath. Third Burroughs is best added in a clockwise fashion—first Third Burroughs and then Skyscraper. Adding Third Burroughs turns this hike into a scramble, as the terrain between the two peaks is off-trail. Skyscraper’s name is descriptive, as the peak stands out rather prominently.

Driving
Drive SR 410 4.5 miles south of the Crystal Mountain ski area turnoff and turn right on Sunrise Park Road. Drive 15 miles to the road’s end at the Sunrise Visitor Center parking area.
Route
The trailhead is located to the right of the restrooms. Begin uphill on the asphalt trail leading to Sourdough Ridge. Follow the trail to Frozen Lake and then continue on the Wonderland Trail toward Skyscraper. Upon reaching the saddle just south of Skyscraper, turn right and follow an easy scramble footpath to the summit. If you do Third Burroughs, leave the Burroughs trail at about 7200' and head cross country north following best terrain and follow the south ridge of Skyscraper leading to the summit.
