St. Gildenstern is the patron of merchants and those motivated by profit, and patron saint of the Hansaic Federation.
Originally a (mortal) dwarf from Dvalinn, he made his fortune among the Ulmen and according to legend bribed and haggled the very gods themselves into granting him divinity upon his mortal death (the Chronicles of Gildenstern tell the story of his spirit being led through the underworld by a guide paid with a magic coin that disappeared as soon as he was led to Anapsis).
Shrines to Gildenstern are found most commonly in the lands of the Hansaic Federation, and through these traders his cult has been spread throughout Vistria and even into the Middle Sea.
